Hi, We're the Subtleties!

Since our founding in 1998, the Dartmouth Subtleties has grown into a premier upper range a cappella group on Dartmouth College's campus. We arrange songs that are both exciting to sing and listen to, with our repertoire including a variety of musical styles and artists such as Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Bon Iver, and Destiny's Child. Most of our music is arranged by our own members and is performed at charity events, Greek houses, concerts and on our annual tours nationwide.

 

Our group sees music as a way to have fun, express ourselves, and tell a story. We believe its power in creating deep connections between one another and within our audiences. We aim to unite through the emotional, universal experience of music.

 

The Subtleties is, above all, a family. We enjoy spending time together in and outside of rehearsal and consider the group a space that fosters both musical knowledge and personal growth. Our dedication to a cappella and music contributes to stellar arrangements and performances for audiences of all different types.
